Familiarity with editing software like Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and style guides such as APA or Chicago Manual of Style is typically required. Strong attention to detail, time management, and clear communication are standout soft skills in this role. These abilities are crucial to ensure written materials are accurate, consistent, and professionally polished for their intended audience.

They review documents for grammar, punctuation, and style, then provide feedback or corrections directly within the document or through tracked changes. Regular check-ins or feedback sessions may be scheduled, especially for larger projects, to clarify expectations and resolve any ambiguities. This collaborative process helps maintain consistency and high quality across all content, even when working remotely or on a flexible schedule.
