What is a part time project manager?

Part time project managers are professionals who oversee projects while working fewer hours than a full-time role, often less than 40 hours per week. This role is ideal for organizations with limited project needs or for professionals seeking flexible work arrangements. Part time project managers use the same skills and tools as full-time project managers but may focus on smaller projects or work with multiple clients.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, enforce safety compliance, and address issues in real time

Manage change orders, RFIs, submittals, and all project documentation

Communicate proactively with clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle

Lead project meetings and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently

Ensure all work is performed in compliance with the Ontario Building Code and applicable regulations

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

3-5 years of experience in construction project management, preferably in siding, exterior cladding, roofing, or building envelope work

Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction methods and materials

Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple trades on active job sites

Proficiency with project management tools

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent communication skills - you're comfortable dealing with clients, trades, and team members

Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable transportation

NICE TO HAVE

Experience specifically with vinyl siding, James Hardie fiber cement, or metal cladding systems

Familiarity with CCDC contract documents

PMP, Gold Seal, or CAPM certification

Estimating experience or background in exterior envelope scopes

WHAT WE OFFER

Competitive compensation based on experience

Health and dental benefits after a 3-month probationary period

A growing company with real opportunity to advance and shape your role

A team-first culture that's family oriented and values work-life balance

Hands-on involvement - you won't be buried in a cubicle
