Job description

Description:  Welding Lab Assistant, Part-Time -- Multiple openings for Summer and Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
Reports To:  Welding Program Coordinator and under direct supervisor of faculty members
Position Summary:  Assist students in day and evening classes with welding processes and positions.  Provide supportive supervision, safety support, and supportive instruction to assigned students in a welding class environment.  Assist program coordinator with lab set-up and machine maintenance.  Welding processes in the program include: GMAW, SMAW, GTAW, and OAW. 
Qualifications:
1.  Associate's Degree in Welding/Welding Technology OR High School diploma or GED with industry certification required.
2.  At least two years of welding experience required.
3.  Project a professional image at all time required.
4.  Available to instruct day or evening classes required.
Salary:  Non-exempt, min. $21.05 to $26.31 per hour based on background and experience; part-time benefits summarized here:  Benefits At A Glance - Staff
Working Conditions:  Duties are performed in the usual classroom and lab environment
