This is an entry-level, part-time role ideal for someone with a flexible schedule who enjoys variety, fast-paced environments, and being part of live broadcasts and community events. You'll work behind the scenes in the studio, out in the community as a brand ambassador, and alongside multiple departments as you build foundational media experience.

What You'll Do:

As a Part-Time Board Operator, you'll support daily broadcast operations and live events while helping protect the quality and integrity of our stations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Operating control boards for in-studio and remote programming
• Regulating program timing, playing commercials, and running syndicated content
• Monitoring the technical quality and accuracy of incoming and outgoing on-air programming
• Protecting the station's license by following FCC guidelines and censoring prohibited content when necessary
• Processing time-out programming to ensure accurate playback
• Identifying and reporting technical issues to Engineering to maintain broadcast quality
• Screening incoming phone calls and selecting callers for on-air talent and talk shows
• Handling emergency inserts such as breaking news, alerts, and system tests
• Assisting with basic administrative and operational tasks as needed
• Representing the station at on-site promotions, live remotes, and community events
• Setting up, operating, and breaking down audio and promotional equipment
• Recording live events through photos, video, audio, and social content for station promotions
• Transporting and handling promotional materials and event equipment
