Job description

Are you looking to grow your career with a customer-focused, fast-paced company? Urban Self Storage is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll support daily operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and help create a positive experience for both customers and team members.
This is a part-time position of approximately 28 hours per week.
  • Sunday - 10am to 5pm
  • Monday & Tuesday - 7:30am to 6pm

Responsibilities:
  • Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day operations of a self-storage facility
  • Ensure the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained, including tasks such as sweeping, dusting, mopping, trash pickup, changing light bulbs, pulling weeds, and ensuring all aspects of the facility are in working order
  • Assist with organizing and completing daily operational tasks
  • Handle customer accounts, including delinquency actions
  • Tour storage spaces and assist customers throughout the rental process
  • Manage daily deposits, cash counts, and petty cash
  • Collaborate positively with team members and leadership
  • Support occupancy, rental, and customer service goals
  • Deliver exceptional customer service through professional in-person, phone, and email communication
  • Conduct regular property walks and security checks throughout the facility

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Positive energy with a customer-focused attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work weekends and occasional holidays as business needs require
  • Proficiency using computers, mobile devices, Microsoft Office, Google
  • Workspace, and property management software, including accurate data entry and management of digital customer records
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation
  • Prior customer service or retail experience preferred
  • Strong listening skills and ability to follow direction
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Essential Job Functions & Physical Requirements:

Compensation:
  • $15 - $16.50 per hour
