Responsibilities
  • The Registered Professional Nurse for Northside Hospital's Choice+ Program independently plans and provides nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
  • The Choice+ Staff RN is required to work alongside the unit-specific teams to support them in providing care to all patients and families.
  • The Northside Hospital Choice+ Staff RN manages the care of an assigned group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and policies of Northside Hospital.
  • The practice of all professional nurses at Northside Hospital reflects the values of collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
  • Applicants must have at least one (1) year of current experience in the clinical areas in which they will be working.
  • Must demonstrate and maintain competency in two specialty areas.
  • Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Other REQUIRED cardiopulmonary resuscitation certifications (ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.) are unit specific.
  • Please refer to the specific clinical unit for additional education, competencies, and/or certification required as a condition of employment.
  • Must meet all Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) personnel qualifications and responsibilities requirements for individuals directing or performing non-waived point of care testing as stated in 42 CFR, Part 493, Subpart M.
  • Other REQUIRED RN attributes are unit specific. Please refer to the specific clinical unit.
  • Must meet competency level requirements for the Choice+ Program.
