Job description

Production Coordinator (Production Team Leader)
About the Role
Production plays a meaningful part in helping people engage fully in services, livestreams, and special events at CLC. The Production Coordinator leads the technical and staging side of production ministry by preparing systems, supervising two part-time production staff, and developing the volunteers who help make ministry happen each week.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys live production, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is energized by building teams. Success in this role means developing staff and volunteers into confident, capable leaders while helping ensure our services and events are supported with excellence.
Success in this role means production systems are well maintained, services are supported with excellence, staff are growing in their responsibilities, and volunteers are engaged, equipped, and empowered to serve.
What You'll Do
Day to day, you'll:
  • Lead production execution for services, livestreams, and special events across audio, video, lighting, and staging
  • Supervise, coach, and schedule two part-time production staff, helping them serve with clarity, consistency, and ownership
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and empower interns and volunteers across all production areas, giving away leadership and building a sustainable team culture
  • Program lighting for weekend services under the direction of the Worship Leader and Weekend Services Team Leader
  • Install and maintain equipment, implement quarterly stage design updates, and collaborate on budgeting for new equipment and repairs
  • Operate lifts safely and perform work on ceiling-mounted equipment as needed
  • Provide production support and consultation for CLC-hosted events and concerts
  • Keep production and technical spaces clean, organized, and set up to model the standard you want your team to follow
  • Track equipment purchases, inventory, and maintenance, including AVL systems in classrooms and musical equipment sent out for repair
  • Stay current on new techniques and trends and bring fresh creativity to the role
What We're Looking For
  • 4+ years of professional (paid) audio, video, and lighting (AVL) experience in a church, live production, performing arts, events, or similar environment, with advanced technical knowledge and implementation experience
  • Working knowledge of front-of-house audio and lighting design
  • Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing staff, volunteers, or teams in a healthy, collaborative, and ministry-minded manner
  • Experience building, training, and leading effective volunteer teams, with the ability to develop others rather than simply fill open spots
  • Comfort with light construction and power tools for installation and maintenance
  • A creative problem-solver who thrives when the pace picks up
  • Ability to adapt to CLC's creative direction and preferences while helping staff and volunteers understand and carry that direction well
  • An active, growing Christian faith and a commitment to becoming actively engaged in the life and ministry of CLC
  • Alignment with CLC's mission and values, with a demonstrated ability to support and advance the vision of the church through a collaborative team approach
The Details
  • Full-time | Non-exempt, hourly
  • Reports to: Weekend Services Team Leader
  • Supervises: Two Part-Time Production Staff
  • Regularly requires sitting for long periods, bending, reaching, stooping, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Schedule: Mon-Wed; Sat-Sun; hours vary based on the needs of the church, services, and events
Benefits
  • Medical, Dental, Vision
  • Employer paid Disability Coverage (Short-Term and Long-Term)
  • 14 Paid Holidays
  • Generous Paid Time Off Schedule
  • Retirement Plan with 6% Employer Match
  • Incredible Team Environment
Why CLC
  • Purpose-driven work in a faith-based environment
  • Leadership role with a meaningful (and eternal) impact
  • Collaborative and values-centered culture
