While both roles involve overseeing exams, a Part Time Proctor primarily supervises test-takers to ensure exam integrity, often in educational settings. A Part Time Test Administrator may handle additional responsibilities like setting up exams and managing test materials. Both roles require similar credentials and are used in comparable environments, but the Proctor focuses more on supervision, whereas the Test Administrator may have broader administrative duties.
As a part-time proctor, you supervise the exam process at an educational institution or test facility. As a part-time employee, you work less than 40 hours per week. You can work at a high school, college, or testing facility for certifications or licenses. During each test, you monitor the students and ensure that they follow all rules and requirements. Your duties include preparing the testing room before the exam starts. You verify students’ identities and ensure that they complete any required documentation. Other responsibilities include making sure that students do not cheat or use banned devices during the test.
