WORK SCHEDULES:

DUTIES:
  • Monitoring access control and challenging those without proper identification.
  • Maintaining the visitor management system, checking visitors, guests.
  • Issuing badges and access cards and maintaining security logs.
  • Monitoring a CCTV system.
  • Vehicle and Foot patrols of the interior and exterior.
  • Checking in authorized personnel onsite.
  • Working a standing post for 8-hour shifts or longer.
  • Ability to interact with the public in a direct and professional manner, strong interpersonal skills.

TO SUCCEED AT METRO ONE:
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills in customer service.
  • High level of awareness, attentiveness, and alertness.
  • Ability to de-escalate situations and remain calm in confrontation.
  • Capable of standing for long periods of time and exhibiting physical strength.
  • Astute observation and detailed notetaking/reporting.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have a valid New Mexico security license or the ability to attain one.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Military Preferred, with a minimum of 2 or more years of active service in any military branch with an honorable, medical, or general discharge.
  • 3 years of verifiable private/corporate security experience/corporate customer service.
