Role Overview:
Could you be our next Premium Accounting Coordinator? Globe Life is looking for a Premium Accounting Coordinator to join the team!
This role is responsible for assisting the claim operation by completing a wide variety of tasks designed to gather and organize claim information for processing by Claim Examiners and Analysts. Key functions of this role vary as business needs dictate but often include such tasks as e-mail sorting and preparation, claim indexing, customer contacts, and check processing tasks. All while maintaining a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner so that you maintain a professional relationship with customers, co-workers, and management.
This is a hybrid position located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (WFH Monday & Friday, In Office Tuesday-Thursday).
What You Will Do:
The Premium Accounting Coordinator is responsible for various reporting and analytical tasks.
  • Provide training to both Premium Accounting and external department staff
  • Maintain procedure and training documents
  • The subject matter expert for Premium Accounting
  • Key contact to research and resolve system issues or errors that are created during the premium accounting process
  • Work with IT and support projects that affect their area of Premium Accounting
  • Provides backup to the supervisor as needed
  • Assist with all responsibilities within their specific Premium Accounting team and provide support for other Premium Accounting teams as needed

What You Can Bring:
  • College degree: Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
  • 2-5 years related work experience required; including at least 1-3 years of accounting and general ledger experience
  • Insurance work experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience preferred
  • Expert level operation of a 10-key calculator
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office; including outlook, word and excel
  • Intermediate accounting knowledge; including familiarity with general ledger entries
  • Detail Oriented; ability to do complex research in multiple systems
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Available to work overtime as needed
