Job description

Redbud Pediatrics is a physician-owned private practice with eleven clinicians and two locations in Wichita, Kansas.

We are looking for a registered nurse for a full-time or part-time position. We are a diverse, collaborative, multilingual, and independent group. Redbud Pediatrics embraces the responsibility to care for children in our community from a wide range of backgrounds and needs. We accept an insurance mix of public and private payors representative of regional pediatric demographics, while maintaining the highest quality of care for patients. Come join our team!

Job Summary:

Our nurses play a key role in the health care team. We work collaboratively across all levels and departments in our organization. Registered Nurse will perform various clinical and administrative duties under the direction of Administration, Clinicians, and Clinical Supervisor.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assists with exams and procedures
  • Administer vaccines
  • Assess daily workflow needs
  • Phone triage
  • Referral coordination
  • Provide patient education
  • Phlebotomy
  • Collect and perform basic lab tests
  • Daily/ weekly/ monthly cleaning duties and up-keep of work space

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control, HIPPA, & OSHA regulations
  • Excellent assessment skills with the ability to exercise critical thinking in the clinical environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Effective communication skills a must โ€“ ability to communicate clearly with team members, medical professionals, those we serve, and their families.

Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program,
  • Current State of Kansas RN license in good standing.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR, and/ or PALS
  • Two years of related experience working in a pediatric or hospital setting, ideally with medically complex patients.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking and bending
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. unassisted, 10 pounds frequently
  • Must be up to date on required vaccines and receive yearly flu vaccine
