Job Summary:
We seek an individual passionate about teaching and invested in student success. If you desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, we invite you to apply for an adjunct faculty position in Communication Studies. Scope:
The Department of Communication & Media in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a part-time, adjunct faculty position in Communication Studies. Candidates with backgrounds in all areas of Communication will be considered.
Principal Responsibilities
This individual will serve as the instructor of record for our Public Speaking course (CAMS 1301 - Presentational Speaking). A typical assignment will include one course each semester, with the possibility of a second depending on student demand. Questions concerning the position should be directed to the Department Chair, Dr. Jeff St. Onge (j-stonge@onu.edu).
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will demonstrate good interpersonal skills, as well as the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience teaching undergraduate, introductory Communication Studies courses are encouraged to apply.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in Communication Studies (or related) or 18 hours graduate coursework in Communication Studies (or related) is required. Those with experience teaching Communication and Media Studies at the university level are encouraged to apply.
