Coach/Direct Support Provider for Individuals with Disabilities Along Life's Journey
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 per hour

Class LTD is hiring individuals to provide direct care for individuals with disabilities delivering companionship, assistance in daily living activities, coaching on coping with challenges and completing daily tasks, assistance with basic medical needs and household chores, transportation, supervision/safety and (most of all) a caring and supportive relationship.
The coach may advocate for persons with disabilities to become as independent as possible and integrate into employment and home settings. The coach monitors the client's health, safety, and well-being. The coach acts as a role model and assists the client in having a high quality of life. Coaches distribute and record medications as prescribed by the client's physician. Coaches transport clients to appointments and activities.
Paid training is provided. Major holidays are either off or paid double. Dress code is relaxed.
The successful candidate will have a passion for enriching the lives of individuals with disabilities, a caring personality and an ability to be attentive to details. They will be able to lift 50 lbs. and pass a background check regarding criminal offenses and child/elder abuse. Experience is appreciated but not required. We will train the right person.
Other Requirements:
1) Maintain a current and valid driver's license of the state of residence and be determined as an "insurable driver" by the automobile insurance carrier for CLASS LTD.
2) Comply with all federal, state and local laws regarding communicable and infectious diseases and CLASS LTD policies rules and practices regarding immunizations.
3) Must be able to work with male and female clients.
4) Math calculations needed to complete support log totals.
5) Ability to communicate effectively with others.
6) Read, comprehend & compose written material as required for case notes, plans, and policies.
7) Work as an effective team member and facilitator of the team(s) to which assigned.
8) Attain minimum required in-service training each year.
9) May require a commercial driver's license (CDL) for some positions (most coaches do not need to have a CDL).
Pre-employment testing will be required.
