Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, patient monitoring equipment, and certifications like BLS and ACLS is typically required. Exceptional communication, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are vital soft skills for this role. Part-time PACU RNs often face challenges related to staying updated with unit protocols and maintaining continuity of care due to less frequent shifts. Additionally, adapting quickly to post-anesthesia patient needs and collaborating with multiple surgical teams can be demanding. What is a Part Time PACU RN?

A Part Time PACU RN is a Registered Nurse who works in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) on a part-time basis.
