Physical Therapist - Chowchilla, CA

Compensation:  $55 to $65 per hour

Schedule: Part-time, 1 day per week

Nexus HR is looking for an experienced part-time, licensed Physical Therapist to join a new and growing RHN (Rural Health Clinic)  outpatient clinic in Chowchilla, CA. This is a great opportunity to join a collaborative team committed to delivering exceptional preventive medical care as the clinic continues to expand.

About the Job

The Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical injuries, disabilities, or movement disorders. The PT develops personalized treatment plans to help patients improve mobility, relieve pain, restore function, and prevent disability through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and patient education.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients’ physical conditions, mobility limitations, and functional abilities.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments and patient goals.

  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other rehabilitation techniques.

  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.

  • Educate patients and families on exercises, injury prevention, and home care programs.

  • Document patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes according to healthcare regulations.

  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Maintain compliance with healthcare laws, safety standards, and clinical protocols.

  • Use rehabilitation equipment and technology to support patient recovery.

  • Help in acquiring and setting up related medical equipment.

  • Help set up appropriate billing codes.

Qualifications:

  • At least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist.

  • Experience working in newly started outpatient clinics is highly preferred.

  • Graduate of an accredited  Physical Therapy (DPT) program.

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care.

  • Able to work in Chowchilla, CA
