Job Description

Shriners Children's St. Louis has an opportunity for a part-time night shift Pediatric Registered Nurse in our Inpatient Unit. You will provide direct patient care for children with a variety of different orthopedic conditions ranging from mild to complex. This involves providing Med-Surg and ICU level of nursing care.

Hours: This part-time night shift position works 48 hours bi-weekly and every 3rd weekend.

Key Responsibitlities:

  • The Inpatient RN is responsible for the coordinationof nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care.

  • The RN supports professional nursing practice across practice settings and across the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family.

  • This position will provide leadership by acting as an informal and formal leader, preceptor and through quality improvement efforts.

  • Must have excellent communication skills and be skillful in mentoring and teaching.

Required Qualifications:

  • BSN degree or in process

  • Missouri RN License

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years bedside RN experience (will consider new grads)

  • Pediatric and ICU experience

  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification

The pay range for this position is $35.37 - $53.05. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
