Description:
Be part of our Saint Alphonsus Mammo Team
Our Mammographers have skills and knowledge to perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in both Idaho and Oregon.
Our Mammographers also maintain patient and procedure documentation, equipment and instrument knowledge pertinent to high quality exams and provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
2. Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
3. Colleague must have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
4. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
5. Must have active driving privileges.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organization's Mission, Vision, and Values in behaviors, practices, and decisions.
2. Demonstrates knowledge and skills to competently care for all assigned age groups.
3. Performs ordered procedures according to subspecialty protocols and procedures, ensuring that optimum exams are acquired in an efficient and timely manner.
4. Responds to equipment failures, documenting in accordance with Department Policies and procedures.
5. Keeps accurate and updated documentation of medications on inventory.
