Job description

Oregon Urology Institute has an opening for a Part-time Physician Associate/Nurse Practitioner – Rapid Access Clinic (RAC).

Oregon Urology Institute (OUI) is one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies such as robotic surgery, research, immunotherapy, and radiation therapy.

Oregon Urology Institute has openings for Physician Associate and Nurse Practitioner who functions as an integral member of a health team, providing comprehensive care to existing OUI patients with acute urological conditions in a Urology focused independent medical practice. Provider is responsible for assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with urologic needs.

The Rapid Access Clinic focuses on thoroughly assess patients who may have a UTI, catheter occlusion, possible kidney stones, hematuria, nephrostomy tube issues, and post operative concerns to name a few. These are same day appointments to allow our patients to be seen by a urology provider and avoid unnecessary urgent care or emergency room visits.

Essential Functions and responsibilities:

  • Provides care at OUI's main campus located at 2400 Hartman Lane, Springfield, OR 97477.
  • Evaluate patients to determine their medical condition and create care plan. Appointments are every 15-30 minutes.
  • Perform clinical procedures for patient's benefit which are within scope and skill of practitioner.
  • Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals.
  • Communicate with primary urology care team regarding patients visit to the RAC.
  • Maintains accurate, complete, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
  • Perform other job-related duties, as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted PA or NP license in the state of Oregon or the ability to obtain.
  • Ability to obtain DEA license.
  • Knowledge of treatment and drug interactions.
  • ER/Urgent Care or urology experience required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

All candidates must pass a drug screen and background check in order to be considered for employment.

This is a Part-time position that offers flexibility and no weekends or holidays.
