Student Life serves as the hub for students at Santa Fe College and is comprised of student activities, student clubs and organizations, civic engagement and service, student government, leadership programs, the Student Engagement Center, international student support and advising, Saints Food Share, the Student Life Business Office, and Student Life marketing. Student Life also provides student-centered services such as access to a recreation room, computer lab, art gallery, ID card services, and holds evening hours.
The part-time Student Office Assistant supports the Student Life marketing team by assisting with the coordination, maintenance, and development of graphic design projects for Student Life.

Job Description

Responsibilities and Duties Include:
  • Designs, revises and updates materials including publications, posters, brochures, as well as web-based graphics approved by the Websmith.

  • Completes projects by coordinating with Student Life personnel to ensure accurate and timely marketing materials for all Student Life and partner entities.

  • Creatively develops new design concepts, graphics and layouts.

  • Strictly honors the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies, and procedures.

  • Complies with all published College Rules, procedures, guidelines, and laws/regulations governing public employees, including but not limited to those related to document retention and destruction, FERPA, and confidentiality.

  • Provides service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Reports to: Websmith

Qualifications

Required: Must be a currently enrolled Santa Fe College student, in good academic and behavioral standing, taking six (6) or more credit hours.
Additional Requirements:A criminal background check will be conducted.
Preferred: Experience as websmith and/or graphic designer.
