Job description

ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for part-time, non-union Tutors in the Adult Education department. Tutors are hired on an as-needed basis. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as part-time, non-union assignments become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
In accordance with the Mission and Values of Southwestern Illinois College, the tutor is responsible for assisting adult basic education student(s) master the concepts and processes involved with departmental courses. Tutors work with students individually or in groups. Tutors maintain attendance records and report on student needs and progress.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's degree required.
2. Previous teaching experience required.
3. Good oral and written communications skills required.
4. Ability to assist with computerized instruction as need preferred.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$26.50 per hour, up to 9 hours per week.
