Description
A staff pharmacist provides pharmaceutical care and clinical support to hospital patients by reviewing medication orders, preparing and dispensing medications, and collaborating with providers and nursing staff to ensure safe and effective medication use. This role supports timely patient care through medication management, consultation, and compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. This role includes an on-call component, and call-backs may happen. This role may be a combination of days, nights, and weekends depending on the needs of the pharmacy department as it expands into providing emergency and critical care.
Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy
Current pharmacist license in the State of Wyoming
Previous hospital pharmacy or emergency department experience preferred
Current BLS certification within 3 months of hire
Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication safety, and sterile/non-sterile medication preparation
