Cybersecurity Analyst
The Opportunity:
Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies. In all of this "cyber noise", how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is an information security risk specialist like you who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action.
We're looking for an experienced information security risk specialist like you to apply your knowledge in Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS), Army Portfolio Management Solution (APMS), Risk Management Framework (RMF), and defense Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), all of which are essential for managing the Army's IT portfolio.
In this role, you'll use your experience to work with the ISSM, ISSO, and stakeholders to understand cybersecurity postures to evaluate potential weaknesses, as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions utilizing eMASS, vulnerability scans, artifacts, and documentation. You will leverage cybersecurity tools to aggregate compliance information that informs leadership of their cybersecurity compliance posture.
You'll use your RMF analysis abilities to adequately assess information systems and inform senior leadership on their cybersecurity posture of the mission area. Your role will be vital in the continuous evaluation and assessment of authorization to operation systems that support the client.

You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing eMASS
  • 2+ years of experience managing STIG checklists and working with RMF
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53r4/5, NIST 800-37r2, and Army Regulations AR 25-2
  • Ability to coordinate cybersecurity and risk management efforts
  • Ability to provide proactive, timely problem-solving
  • Ability to support the integration of cybersecurity tools and processes to effectively manage and assess compliance of systems
  • Ability to maintain compliance with policies and procedures, identify gaps in systems, and recommend solutions
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience using Army eMASS
  • Experience in on-premises and cloud environments
  • Experience with STIG tools such as STIGViewer, STIGMAN, EvalSTIG, and SCAP
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word and Excel
  • Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and analysis
  • Ability to brief senior leaders
  • Possession of strong written and communication skills
  • Possession of strong decision-making skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a CS or Cybersecurity-related field
  • eMASS and CISSP Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
