Job description

We are looking for CNAโ€™s to provide quality personal care services to our residents including:

  • Bathing and helping dress residents
  • Serving meals and helping residents eat
  • Taking vital signs
  • Turning or repositioning patient's residents who are unable to change their own position in bed or in their chair
  • Following residentโ€™s care plans
  • Providing and emptying bedpans
  • Lifting residents into beds, wheelchairs, etc.
  • Answering call bells
  • Knowing the residents and reporting any change in condition such as bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds
  • Cleaning and sanitizing resident's rooms and other patient care areas
  • Changing bed sheets and restocking rooms with necessary supplies
  • Occasionally providing transportation and/or accompanying to appointments
  • Our nursing unit is organized in the primary care nursing model, meaning that a group of residents usually has a fixed caregiver which allows the residents and staff to become familiar with each other in order to better respond to their individualized needs. This position is usually filled by a full-time CNA while the part-time CNAs fill-in for their days off. Part-time CNAs are valued for their flexibility, openness and understanding of all the residents on the unit.
  • Shift differential for evening and night shift.
