Pay: $24.00 to $39.00 per hour

Are you passionate about making a profound impact on the lives of teenage girls facing complex challenges? Do you have a background in psychology, behavioral science, social work, or a related field? If so, New Haven offers a unique and invaluable opportunity for you to join our team as a Registered Nurse!

At New Haven, we go beyond the conventional residential treatment model. Located in the tranquil surroundings of Spanish Fork, Utah, our campus serves as both a treatment center and a nurturing home for adolescent girls aged 14 to 18 and their families. We specialize in addressing complex issues such as traumatic stress, family dynamics, and mental health nuances, providing comprehensive and compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Medical Care:ย Provide comprehensive medical care for students, including addressing medical emergencies and general medical needs.

  • Medication Administration:ย Accurately sort and administer medications, adhering to prescribed schedules and dosages.

  • Health Assessments:ย Respond promptly to reports of pain or illness, conducting thorough assessments of students to determine the appropriate course of action.

  • Medical Appointments:ย Accompany students to medical appointments and effectively communicate findings to both parents and the Nursing Director.

  • Vital Signs Monitoring:ย Regularly check and record vital signs and student weights as assigned.

  • Narcotics Management:ย Maintain strict accountability by counting and tracking narcotics during each shift.

  • Behavior and Mood Observation:ย Continuously monitor students for mood, behavior, and affect, documenting findings for reference.

  • Lab Coordination:ย Coordinate and facilitate lab draws for students, ensuring accurate and timely results.

  • Medical Communication:ย Communicate relevant medical information to the Treatment Team and the Psychiatrist, either verbally or in written form.

  • On-Call Support:ย Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 medical assistance.

  • Confidentiality:ย Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards in all patient-related matters.

  • Licensure Maintenance:ย Complete all activities required to maintain an active and valid nursing license in the State of Utah.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; minimum age 21
  • Valid Utah driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Active LPN or RN license in Utah
  • Ability to pass a Utah State background check
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
