The Position:

We're looking for a Temporary Part-time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) with an opportunity to transition to pro re nata to help diagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team with multiple providers, specialists, and other clinical and administrative staff.

  • Participate with the team to focus on health promotion and disease prevention, management, and mitigation.
  • Participate in patient visits with the goal of disease management, mitigation, and prevention, identification of chronic conditions, and coordinating with patient primary care and specialty providers as necessary and appropriate.
  • May order, perform or interpret diagnostic tests, complete and prescribe medication for patients in accordance with licensure and scope of practice.
  • Work will entail telehealth and in-home patient visits.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Current National Certification in Family, Adult, Gerontological, or Primary Care Practice
  • Current State of Hawaii Advanced Practice Registered Nurse-RX (APRN-RX) Licensure
  • Current State of Hawaii Controlled Substance License
  • Current DEA Registration
  • Current Basic Life Support Certificate
  • Minimum of 2 years experience working as an APRN
