At the United Center, we bring excitement to life through sports, entertainment, and community. Home to the Chicago Bulls (NBA) and Chicago Blackhawks (NHL), we've welcomed over 70 million fans and host more than 200 events annually, from premier sporting events and concerts to family shows and special industry events. In the role as the Part-Time Network Operations Assistant you will help our team bring the next round of stories to life on the United Center campus.

The Part-Time Network Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting pre-event setup, in event operations and trouble shooting and post event strike.


What youโ€™ll do:

  • Ensures a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of equipment.
  • Familiar with network diagnostic tools.
  • Fundamental networking knowledge.
  • Troubleshoots technical issues and resolves problems quickly as they arise.
  • Assist the team with proper storage, transportation, and maintenance of equipment.
  • Document network issues via ticketing system and escalate when necessary.
  • Possess good customer service skills and maintain working relationships with clients.
  • Day of Game responsibilities as assigned.
  • Miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned.

What youโ€™ll need:

  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve basic network issues.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic Wi-Fi connectivity issues.
  • Experience running, troubleshooting, terminating, and testing RJ45 cables.
  • CompTIA Network + certification is a plus.


The pay range for this role is $29.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location.
