Job Purpose
Reports directly to and works under the supervision of the Division Quality Manager. The Quality Assurance Manager and his team works with the facility team members to ensure all work is performed in accordance with internal procedures, AAR and customer requirements.

Key Job Elements
• Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with PRS safety policies;
• Ensure that our Quality Management System maintains conformance to AAR M1003 quality specification and our own internal procedural requirements;
• Ensure inspection processes are followed;
• Provide oversight and verification of process / product quality compliance by team members;
• Conduct periodic quality training with all employees and assist with new hire training;
• Communicates with customers by email and phone;
• Keep precision instruments and gages in compliance and calibrated;
• Keep up to date with circular letters and communicate changes to all impacted departments;
• Maintain QWI and QSP records and ensure that changes or updates are completed and communicated.
Qualifications and Experience
• 5 years experience in quality management, supervision and inspection;
• Knowledge of AAR Rules / MSRP / ISO Quality Management requirements;
• Freight railcar wheel shop experience or machine shop related experience;
• Nondestructive testing experience (MPI and UT);
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn company enterprise software;
• Machinist / Mechanical aptitude;
• Read and understand precision instruments and gauges;
• Read and understand technical documents and drawings.
