Job description

Physician Liaison - Medi-Weightloss Greater Austin

Location: Greater Austin Area

Type: Independent Contractor | Part-Time

About Us

Medi-Weightloss is a nationally recognized, physician-supervised program delivering medically proven, individualized weight management and hormone optimization solutions. Our Greater Austin clinics are locally owned and operated by Kaya Wellness LLC. We're focused on improving overall health, reducing obesity-related conditions, and enhancing patient quality of life through evidence-based protocols and comprehensive support.

We're growing beyond weight loss into hormone optimization and broader health services, and we're looking for someone to deepen our connections with the local medical community.

The Role

We're seeking a relationship-driven Physician Liaison to connect our clinics with referring providers across Greater Austin. You'll be the face of Medi-Weightloss to physicians, specialists, and healthcare organizations, educating them on our programs and making it easy for them to refer patients who need medically supervised weight management or hormone optimization.

This role is ideal for someone who has relationships in the Austin-area healthcare community and enjoys building long-term professional partnerships.

What You'll Do
  • Build referral relationships with physicians, specialists, hospitals, wellness centers, and healthcare networks across the Greater Austin area

  • Educate providers through in-person visits, lunch-and-learns, and informational sessions on the clinical benefits of our weight loss and BHRT programs

  • Serve as the primary contact for referring providers, ensuring consistent communication and follow-up

  • Identify opportunities within targeted specialties including endocrinology, cardiology, bariatrics, family medicine, OB/GYN, urology, internal medicine, and primary care

  • Track and report physician feedback, competitive insights, and referral activity to clinic leadership

  • Collaborate with our team to align outreach with patient growth goals and marketing initiatives

What Success Looks Like
  • Conduct 40+ provider office visits per month

  • Build a base of 8-12 actively referring provider offices within your first two quarters

  • Generate measurable increases in patient referrals quarter-over-quarter

  • Provide actionable market intelligence that helps us improve our offerings

What You Bring

Required:

  • 2+ years in medical sales, physician liaison work, pharma sales, or healthcare business development

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills

  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout the Greater Austin area

Strongly Preferred:

  • Existing relationships within the Austin-area medical community

  • Knowledge of weight management, GLP-1 medications, hormone therapy (BHRT), or chronic disease management

Compensation
  • Base Rate: $25-28/hour

  • Performance Bonuses: Activity and outcome-based bonuses available

  • Mileage: Reimbursed at IRS standard rate

  • Hours: Approximately 15-18 hours/week, flexible scheduling

Total compensation potential varies based on performance. We'll walk through the full structure during our conversation.

What We Offer
  • Comprehensive training on Medi-Weightloss programs, BHRT protocols, and communication strategies

  • Marketing materials and collateral for provider education

  • Direct access to clinic leadership and collaborative decision-making

  • Opportunity to grow with us as we expand our services and locations

Medi-Weightloss is an equal opportunity employer.
