Job description

Grant Accountant (Contracts Division) – Temporary Need! 

Immediate Need | Estimated 3-Month Assignment

A respected nonprofit organization making a meaningful impact in the community is seeking a Grant Accountant to join its Contracts Division on a temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working with grant funding, budgets, and financial reporting in a mission-driven environment.

Location: Northwest San Antonio, TX

Schedule: In-Office Position

Assignment Length: Approximately 3 Months

Responsibilities
  • Process grant reimbursement requests and related documentation
  • Monitor and maintain grant budgets
  • Assist with grant accounting and financial reporting activities
  • Reconcile grant expenditures and funding allocations
  • Ensure compliance with grant and contractual requirements
  • Support the Contracts Division with accounting and budget-related projects
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field required
  • Previous grant accounting experience required 
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
