Job description

Summary: Fund Accountant is responsible for managing financial processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing accurate financial reporting to support the organization's mission.


Schedule: Hybrid/Remote, Full-time or Part-time


Key Responsibilities

-Finance & Operations: Oversee all accounting functions managed by third-party fund administrators, including month end and quarter end processes for clients in the financial services industry. Assisting on accounts payable, receivable and general ledger maintenance. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Assist in managing daily trade and position reconciliations for securities portfolios

-Treasury Function: Assist in managing accounts payable process for clients, reviewing support documentation to ensure proper authorization and compliance with fund documents, processing invoices for payment including initiating wires and ACH payments

-Audit Preparation: Assist the annual audit process for clients, including preparation of necessary documentation and coordination with external auditors and fund administrators

-Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, monitoring expenditures against budgeted amounts, and providing variance analysis

-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure effective communication of financial information and support organizational goals


Requirements:

-Bachelor’s degree required

-Fund accounting experience required

-Public accounting audit experience a plus

-QuickBooks experience is a plus

-CPA license is a plus
