Title: House Manager & Family Assistant with Meal Prep

Employment Type: Part-time (20-25 hours/week)

Compensation: $30$35/hour, based on experience

Location: Del Sur, 92127 (San Diego, CA)

Start Date: ASAP

Schedule: Monday availability preferred, and flexible the other 3-4 days/week (daytime hours preferred). Summer flexibility appreciated.

Requirements:

  • Maintain a smoke-free environment
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Fully vaccinated (including COVID & flu)

About Us:

We are a warm and busy family, balancing the demands of a fast-paced lifestyle. Dad travels frequently for work, leaving limited time at home, while Mom stays at home and manages the day-to-day operations of the household. With three kids, each with their own unique needs, our family requires a reliable, organized, and proactive partner to help support and manage our busy routine. Beginning this fall, all three children will remain within the same district but will be attending three different schools, making strong scheduling, coordination, and logistical support especially important for our family

Mom is looking for a right hand, someone who can help ease the mental load of running the household, keeping everything running smoothly from meal prep to laundry, errands, and everything in between. This role is essential in maintaining harmony and order in our home, allowing us to spend more quality time together as a family.

We value someone who can take initiative, anticipate needs, and collaborate with the family to ensure things stay organized and efficient. Flexibility and dependability are key, as our schedules can shift, especially with Dad's travel and various family commitments.

Key ResponsibilitiesHousehold Management & Organization
  • Maintain and refresh systems for toys, pantry, closets, drawers, and storage
  • Daily resets and tidy common spaces
  • Seasonal swaps (clothing, bedding, and dcor)
  • Prepare for travel and help with packing/unpacking
  • Unload dishwasher, wipe down surfaces, light vacuuming
  • Assist with guest prep and resets
Family Support & Child Assistance
  • Provide light childcare or backup support
  • Assist with school pick-ups or drop-offs as needed
  • Prep backpacks, kids' clothes, and school items
  • Help pack/unpack for outings and/or family trips
Meal Planning & Prep
  • Batch cook or prep nutritious, family-friendly meals
  • Help with prepping and cooking meals from a meal kit service
  • Prepare and pack school lunches/snacks
  • Grocery shopping as needed
  • Kitchen clean-up
Inventory & Errands
  • Track household staples and restock as needed (toiletries, groceries, pantry items)
  • Manage household orders and subscriptions (Amazon, Target)
  • Run errands: groceries, returns, dry cleaning, mail drop-offs, gift shopping
Laundry & Linen Care
  • Wash/fold/organize laundry
  • Rotate and refresh bedding/towels
  • Keep laundry area tidy and well-stocked
Administrative and Personal Assistant Support
  • Assist with managing reminders and scheduling via Hearth or Google Suite
  • Track school events, family activities, appointments
