Granger Christian School, Part-Time Athletic Director

Granger Christian Schools is seeking a passionate and qualified part-time Athletic Director to oversee and coordinate our K-12/Middle/High school athletic program. The Athletic Director will serve as a spiritual leader for student-athletes, ensuring that our sports programs foster Christ-centered character, sportsmanship, and athletic excellence in compliance with all state athletic associations and league requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Leadership: Promote a Christ-centered culture where God is honored in all aspects of athletics, mentoring coaches to serve as spiritual role models.
  • Administration & Scheduling: Develop and manage seasonal sports schedules, transportation logistics, and facilities usage.
  • Coaching Staff Oversight: Recruit, hire, train, and support qualified coaches, ensuring they adhere to the school’s mission and behavioral standards.
  • Budget Management: Develop and maintain the athletic budget, including purchasing uniforms, maintaining equipment, and overseeing athletic fees.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all athletes have valid physicals, maintain safety protocols for all athletic events, and oversee the maintenance of athletic facilities.
  • Communication: Act as a liaison between parents, coaches, school administration, and opposing teams.

Qualifications

  • Faith: A strong, clear Christian testimony with a mature and godly spirit, in agreement with the Granger Christian School Statement of Faith.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in coaching, athletic administration, or school leadership.
  • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with familiarity with athletic scheduling software.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with state athletic association bylaws.
