Indian Rocks Eats is seeking a passionate and servant-hearted part time line cook to help lead our growing hospitality ministry. From daily campus dining and athlete nutrition to catering and community events, this position offers a unique opportunity to combine culinary leadership, creativity, and ministry in a team-focused environment.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist in leading daily lunch service for 1,500+ students and staff.
  • Help prepare meals for our Fueling for Excellence athlete nutrition program.
  • Support catering events, family dinners, and special events.
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Foster a positive kitchen culture through teamwork, leadership, and mentorship.
  • Assist with kitchen organization, prep coordination, and recipe scaling.

Requirements

Education, Experience, Physical Abilities and Skills

  • 4-6 years of high-volume kitchen experience.
  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and serving others.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Docs/Sheets and recipe scaling.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Organizational Expectations

  • Operational Alignment: Cooperate with Indian Rocks Church and School Administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the organization's operation.
  • Professional Conduct: Follow Biblical principles in dealing with students and families, staff, congregants, and Administration in a positive Christian manner.
  • Attendance: Regular and reliable attendance is required as an essential function of any position.

Church Membership & Lifestyle Expectations

  • Must give testimony and evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and sense the call of God to a serving ministry.
  • Demonstrate a consistent Christian lifestyle as referenced by the; the Mission, Statement of Faith, and Leadership Guidelines of Indian Rocks
  • Must be an active member of Indian Rocks as defined by regular attendance in worship services, regular attendance/involvement in an Indian Rocks Connection Group or Small Group, commitment to systematic stewardship, and faithful in tithing.
