Job description

We are sharing a specialised part-time consulting opportunity for professionals experienced in business intelligence, data analytics, SQL analysis, experimentation, dashboard development, metric design, and structured analytics documentation workflows.

This role supports current and upcoming remote consulting opportunities focused on structured analytics review, business intelligence workflow analysis, SQL output assessment, experimentation review, metric documentation, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and high-quality project execution. Selected professionals will apply their analytics expertise to review realistic business data scenarios, evaluate analytical requirements, prepare structured written outputs, and support accurate, evidence-based analytics workflow tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Professionals in this role may contribute to:

SQL Analysis & Business Question Review

  • Review analytics scenarios involving business questions, underlying datasets, SQL queries, expected result sets, and documented analytical requirements
  • Evaluate SQL outputs against source data, defined criteria, expected numerical results, and business logic
  • Support structured review of ad-hoc analyses, query logic, data interpretation, and analytical documentation
  • Identify missing assumptions, query issues, metric inconsistencies, and expected analysis outcomes

Experimentation & Measurement Support

  • Review experimentation scenarios involving A/B test readouts, lift calculations, statistical significance, guardrail metrics, and documented test outcomes
  • Evaluate experiment results against defined metrics, expected values, business rules, and analytical standards
  • Support structured review of measurement frameworks, test summaries, experiment readouts, and decision documentation
  • Prepare clear written explanations for analytics decisions based on source materials and verifiable criteria

Dashboard, Funnel & Metric Documentation

  • Review BI scenarios involving dashboards, metric definitions, funnel analyses, cohort analyses, SQL-backed reporting, and expected numerical outputs
  • Evaluate metric specs against defined SQL, reporting requirements, business definitions, and documented source logic
  • Support structured review of BI-tool outputs using systems such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, Hex, Metabase, or similar platforms
  • Maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional judgment across submitted work

Ideal Profile

Strong candidates may have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a data analyst, BI analyst, analytics engineer, product analyst, business analyst, decision scientist, growth analyst, or related analytics professional
  • Experience with one or more areas such as advanced SQL, business intelligence reporting, dashboard development, metric design, experimentation, A/B testing, funnel analysis, cohort analysis, or data storytelling
  • Familiarity with BI and analytics tools such as Looker, Tableau, Mode, Hex, Metabase, Power BI, Superset, Amplitude, Mixpanel, or similar platforms
  • Comfort reading and preparing analytics artifacts such as SQL queries, dashboards, experiment readouts, metric specs, funnel analyses, cohort reports, and analytical summaries
  • Strong written communication skills and ability to explain analytics reasoning clearly
  • Ability to follow structured instructions and produce evidence-based work

Educational Background

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, data science, business analytics, information systems, engineering, or a related quantitative field is helpful
  • Equivalent practical experience in analytics, business intelligence, SQL analysis, experimentation, or reporting workflows is also highly relevant

Nice to Have

  • Strong experience with advanced SQL, experimentation frameworks, metric governance, dashboard QA, or product analytics
  • Familiarity with statistical testing, A/B test interpretation, guardrail metrics, segmentation, retention analysis, or growth analytics
  • Experience preparing or reviewing SQL queries, BI dashboards, experiment readouts, metric definitions, funnel analyses, cohort reports, or data documentation
  • Familiarity with modern data stacks, semantic layers, analytics engineering workflows, or self-serve BI environments
