About the Job:
Part Time Medical Assistant - Austin Texas.

Job Details:
  • Welcomes patients by greeting them in person.
  • Prepares patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room; 
  • Helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment; 
  • Arranging examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Verifies patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical history; 
  • Taking vital signs; confirming purpose of visit or treatment.
  • Performs basic vitals and height weight.
  • Ensures appropriate and accurate documentation in the patient medical record.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
  • Excellent time management skills necessary.
  • Great communication skills helpful.
  • Keeps patient care information confidential.

Performs patient exams for multiple testing including:
  • Spirometry (PFT) (training provided).
  • Fundus photos (training provided).
  • ANS/Sudo testing (equipment driven, training provided).
  • Neural testing (training provided).

Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour.

Schedule:
  • Day shift
  • Hours: Between 8am and 5:30pm

Experience:
  • Healthcare worker (in some capacity): 1 year (Required).
  • Medical Assistant: 6 months (Preferred).

Work Location: In-Person - Austin, Texas.
