What is a part time medical spa employee?

A part-time medical spa employee works in a medical spa setting, typically providing cosmetic or wellness treatments, but on a part-time schedule rather than full-time hours. These employees may include aestheticians, nurses, or administrative staff who assist with services like facials, injectables, laser treatments, or client consultations. Working part-time allows for flexible hours, making it suitable for students, parents, or those seeking supplemental income. Responsibilities and required qualifications vary depending on the specific role within the medical spa.

What are some common responsibilities and expectations for a part time medical spa employee?

Part-time employees at a medical spa typically assist with client consultations, schedule management, and supporting licensed practitioners during treatments such as facials, laser procedures, or injectables. You may also be responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, handling administrative tasks like phone calls and appointment bookings, and staying knowledgeable about skincare products and services. Working in a team-oriented environment is common, and you’ll frequently collaborate with estheticians, nurses, and front desk staff to ensure a smooth client experience. Flexibility and strong communication skills are essential, as schedules may vary based on client demand.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time medical spa professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Part Time Medical Spa Professional, you need relevant licensure (such as esthetician, nurse, or cosmetologist), knowledge of skincare treatments, and experience in a clinical or spa setting. Familiarity with specialized equipment like lasers, IPL devices, and booking or EMR systems is typically required, along with certifications in procedures such as injectables or laser therapy. Exceptional customer service, professionalism, and strong interpersonal communication skills make someone stand out in this role. These skills ensure client safety, satisfaction, and the efficient operation of the medical spa environment.

Washington, DC • Remote

Part-time

Job description

Experienced Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Injector (APRN) — Concierge Aesthetics (1099) | Washington DC

Grow your aesthetics practice, with more flexibility, autonomy, and support under the Pinch brand. If you’re trained in aesthetics and want to earn extra income on a part-time schedule, this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

Pinch is hiring experienced Aesthetic Nurse Practitioners in Washington DC who are confident with injectables and want a better way to practice: above-market compensation, flexible scheduling, high-quality clients, strong clinical standards, and a real provider community, without the typical med-spa overhead and politics.

Pinch is a top-rated, Chicago-founded concierge aesthetics brand bringing treatments directly to clients in the comfort of their homes. As a Pinch Provider, you’ll operate with more freedom and autonomy while practicing within a trusted brand and clear protocols designed to keep you and your patients safe.

Why experienced injectors choose Pinch:
  • Earnings built for experienced injectors: Top-of-market, treatment-based pay with no overhead costs.
  • Flexibility on your terms: Set your schedule and availability
  • Autonomy with support: You own the patient experience while following Pinch clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Community & collaboration: Join a provider network; share tips, cases, and local opportunities (events, brand partnerships, etc.).
  • Continued education: Ongoing training and refreshers so your skills and confidence keep leveling up.
What you’ll do:
  • Deliver safe, high-quality concierge aesthetic care including:
    • Neurotoxin injections (tox)
    • Microneedling
    • Chemical peels
    • Skincare + at-home facial experiences
  • Treat clients sourced through Pinch marketing and your personal network
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely client records
  • Manage supplies responsibly
  • Follow Pinch protocols and clinical standards
  • Collaborate with other Pinch Providers and the Pinch clinical/support team
  • Use the Pinch platform to retain clients, run outreach, and grow your book

Requirements

Who we’re looking for:

Required:

  • Active Washington DC APRN license
  • Injectables experience (neurotoxin injections) and comfort treating independently
  • Prior aesthetics experience in a clinical setting (med spa, derm, plastics, concierge, etc.)
  • Strong patient communication, professionalism, and commitment to safety

Preferred:

  • Existing client base or strong ability to build one through networking
  • Interest in growing through events, influencer partnerships, photoshoots, and local community activations
  • Availability to treat between 10 - 50 clients per month (a mix of your own network, and new clients Pinch sends you)

Benefits

Training & support

This role is designed for injectors who already have experience, so training is focused on Pinch protocols, quality standards, and expanding services (peels, microneedling, skincare).

  • Pinch provides onboarding, ongoing education, and clinical support
  • (If needed) Pinch can align you to required protocols and competency refreshers to ensure consistent outcomes
What Pinch covers: A turnkey way to practice on your own - everything from procurement and insurance, to a trusted brand and community!
  • Malpractice coverage
  • Marketing support
  • MD collaboration
  • Technology + scheduling tools
  • Operational support and supplies structure (no med-spa overhead eating your earnings)
  • A provider community that actually feels like a team
About Pinch:

Pinch is redefining med spa care by bringing treatments straight to clients’ homes. Founded in Chicago by a double board-certified physician and a seasoned entrepreneur, Pinch empowers Nurse Practitioners with the resources, standards, and flexibility to thrive without sacrificing autonomy.
