Registered Nurse - Surgery Center

Tysons, VA Pay From: $50.00 per hour

MUST:

Active Registered Nurse (Registered Nurse) license in the Commonwealth of Virginia

Minimum 2+ years of Registered Nurse experience in pre-op, post-op, and/or surgical center settings

Experience in ambulatory surgery center (ASC) or operating room (OR) environment Circulating Registered Nurse experience required (scrub experience preferred) Current BLS and ACLS certification

Strong preference for experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, or elective surgical settings

DUTIES:

The Registered Nurse will support patients through the full surgical journey, including clinic-based care, perioperative support, and OR participation when needed.

Clinical & Surgical Support

  • Assist physicians during surgical and procedural cases in the circulating Registered Nurse role
  • Support safe patient care by coordinating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists
  • Ensure proper patient transport, transfer, positioning, and safety throughout all phases of care
  • Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards
  • Monitor OR environment and ensure all equipment, instruments, and supplies are properly prepared and maintained
  • Operate and troubleshoot surgical equipment as needed

Pre-Op & Post-Op Care

  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care
  • Deliver clear, compassionate patient education throughout the surgical experience
  • Monitor patients before and after procedures, ensuring safe recovery and readiness for discharge
  • Support clinical workflow in pre-op and PACU as needed

Clinic Support

  • Assist with plastic surgery clinic workflow and patient care needs
  • Provide patient education and reinforce post-procedure instructions
  • Maintain a high standard of professionalism and patient experience at all times

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with physicians, anesthesia providers, surgical staff, and clinic team members
  • Contribute to a positive, patient-centered, and team-oriented environment
  • Support multiple areas of the practice as needed in a growing, fast-paced setting
