Overview

The Cosmetic Nurse performs, explains, and schedules cosmetic procedures, consults, and treatment regimens regarding select treatments available at Forefront Dermatology. This position actively promotes/sells cosmetic products, pricing, and services.


Responsibilities

Essential Functions: 

  • A Registered Nurse injector, preferably with clientele, is skilled in dermal fillers, neurotoxins, hair restoration, chemical peels, laser treatments.
  • Actively promotes/sells cosmetic products and services.
  • Performs, explains, and schedules select cosmetic consults and treatments per protocols.
  • Provide appropriate patient education and aftercare instructions.
  • Provide recommendations for cosmetic service enhancements and implements approved plans within specified timeframes.
  • Maintains accurate documentation of treatment in all client medical records. 
  • Pre-book patients and retain patients. 
  • Assist with development of advertising and promotional materials.
  • Responsible for all cosmetic discussions regarding all available cosmetic treatment options available.
  • Responsible for aftercare instructions, relaying information between the doctor and the patient and from the patient to the doctor and schedule appropriate follow up and treatments.
  • Adherence to compliance and completion of compliance training.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Registered Nurse License issued by state of employment is required.

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:

  • 1+ years of related experience in a medical office or spa setting is preferred.
  • Passionate about the aesthetics industry and always willing to learn and grow. 
  • Proficiency in basic computer functions and keyboarding is required.
  • Ability to learn new software quickly and operate standard office equipment is required.
  • Must respond positively to constructive criticism and direction from supervisors.
  • Ability to understand physician’s instructions and know when to seek additional information or clarification is required.
  • Demonstrates professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Ability to display a friendly cheerful, tactful and polite demeanor and compassionate caring in dealing with others is required.
  • Compliant with HIPAA and OSHA requirements. Uses time productively and contributes to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Must possess excellent leadership, organizational, computer, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff, board, clients, and the public.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team.
  • Ability to use time productively and contribute to high levels of company operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
