Description:

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized part time Medical Scribe to support our ENT providers by accurately documenting patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR). The Medical Scribe works closely with physicians and clinical staff to ensure timely, complete, and accurate medical documentation, allowing providers to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accompany providers during patient visits and accurately document medical histories, physical examinations, assessments, treatment plans, procedures, and follow-up instructions in the EMR.
  • Record patient information including chief complaints, review of systems, medications, allergies, and past medical history.
  • Document ENT-specific examinations, diagnostic testing, procedures, and treatment recommendations.
  • Assist providers with chart preparation, including reviewing previous records, laboratory results, imaging reports, and referral documentation.
  • Enter orders, referrals, and diagnostic testing requests as directed by the provider and within scope of practice.
  • Maintain accurate and timely completion of medical records to support quality patient care and compliance standards.
  • Ensure documentation complies with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.
  • Communicate effectively with providers, clinical staff, and administrative personnel.
  • Assist with obtaining medical records and coordinating documentation needs for patient care.
  • Support workflow efficiency by preparing charts and ensuring documentation is completed promptly.
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training as required.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous medical scribe, medical assistant, healthcare documentation, or related healthcare experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation practices.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with EMR systems.
  • Excellent listening, typing, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred
  • Experience working in an ENT, surgical, or specialty practice.
  • Familiarity with ENT terminology, procedures, and diagnostic testing.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems.
  • Medical Scribe Certification or related healthcare certification.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to view computer screens and enter data for prolonged periods.
