Job description

Florida Pain Physicians is seeking a mission-driven Physician specializing in Pain Management to join their team in North Florida, serving locations including Jacksonville, Orange Park, St. Augustine, and Palm Coast. This role involves providing compassionate, evidence-based pain care in a highly personalized clinic setting. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to patient-centered service, helping individuals and families manage acute and chronic pain conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, histories, and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pain conditions
  • Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Perform or oversee interventional pain procedures (as credentialed)
  • Prescribe medications and therapies responsibly and in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate holistic treatment
  • Educate patients and families on treatment options, prevention, and wellness
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

  • MD or DO from an accredited institution
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine, Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or related specialty
  • Active and unrestricted Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)
  • DEA registration and controlled substance prescribing authority
  • BLS/ACLS certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Fellowship training in Pain Management or Interventional Spine preferred
