Part time medical coding positions often offer flexible scheduling, with many employers allowing coders to set their own hours within certain deadlines. Depending on the employer, you may have the option to work remotely or on-site, with work divided among a set number of hours per week, such as 20–30 hours. The workload is typically based on the volume of medical records to be coded, so meeting accuracy and productivity standards is important.
