Position Overview

The Nurse Practitioner is a part-time medical clinician providing care to students in the Endicott College Wellness Center. Reporting to the Director of the Wellness Center, the Nurse Practitioner provides direct primary healthcare to college students, including evaluation, treatment, appropriate referrals, and follow-up. In this capacity, the Nurse Practitioner provides health education and outreach to college students, one-on-one and in group presentations, and supports and advocates to enhance the public health of the College community.

This role involves comprehensive medical care including the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of student health concerns, as well as the delivery of preventive services. The Nurse Practitioner triages and manages urgent issues promptly, maintains confidential and accurate medical records, and delivers health education to individuals and groups across campus. Additional responsibilities include consulting with colleagues and specialists, supporting administrative operations when needed, and participating in key college events.

Key Responsibilities

70% -Clinical Care: Independently assess, diagnose, treat, and educate patients following Center protocols. Partner with other campus health professionals to ensure a team-based approach.

10% - Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient charts and record diagnosis/CPT codes promptly per protocol.

10% - Collaboration & Advocacy: Act as a patient advocate, work to eliminate communication barriers, and manage conflicts with a professional, supportive attitude.

5% - Referrals & Resources: Refer students to appropriate external specialists as needed and serve as a knowledgeable health resource for the campus community.

5% - Quality Improvement: Participate in and lead quality improvement projects to keep clinical practices sharp and effective.

Reports to the Director of the Wellness Center. Works under general supervision.

Qualifications and Skills

Masters of Science degree

FNP or ANP with a minimum of 2+ years of experience, certified to practice independently in the state of MA

Massachusetts controlled substances and US DEA licenses to prescribe, or eligibility for same

Experience working with adolescents and young adults, or in a college or school health setting

Strong interest in preventive care and health education

Part-time, on-site position

Prior office experiences in a higher education setting

Customer service and confidentiality

Ability to triage and manage multiple issues and concerns

In compliance with Massachusetts pay transparency law, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,000- $81,000. Endicott College considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, relevant work experience, education, specialized skills, internal equity, and external market data when extending an offer. The final salary is determined by the Human Resources Office based on these factors. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or other compensation.

This is a salaried, part-time, position based on 24 hour work week.
