The Position: We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of a Classification Analyst, Level 2, supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) program protection team. Responsible for supporting implementation of the Classification Management and Security Reviews in accordance with DoD requirements.

Salary: The estimated salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000 annually, based upon an individual's level of experience, skillset, and education. The range that is given is an estimate and may vary based on contractual constraints. At AM Pierce & Associates, it is our goal to provide equitable compensation to all employees.

The Work Environment: On-Site

The Description:

  • Draft classification guidance memorandums.
  • Draft memoranda and associated staffing documentation for task response packages.
  • Assist in the development and staffing of Agency Security Classification Guides to validate proper format, identify horizontal classification issues, and evaluate security classification issues.
  • Draft responses to Classification Challenges.
  • Draft responses to Classification Determinations.
  • Update Original Classification Authority training, as required.
  • Coordinate with Information Security and the MDA CERT for reported network spills.
  • Maintain metrics and produce monthly and annual task metric reports.
  • Update task database and file system folders.

Education & Experience:

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance, required. Ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • Associate of Arts or Science Degree in a relevant field to Security/CI.
  • Three (3) years of relevant work experience, working on missile defense - related or other complex, large DoD programs/projects.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.
  • Must be capable of working in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DoD security procedures.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office software skills.

Travel:

  • On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
