Job Overview The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is responsible for welcoming and providing exemplary customer service to all incoming patients at CityMD. The role includes registering patients, coordinating with the team, conducting paperwork, answering calls, verifying insurance, handling cash, and ensuring timely patient intake. Schedule & Language Requires availability to work Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Bilingual in Spanish required. Essential Functions / Responsibilities Greeting and welcoming patients Organizing and coordinating patient intake and appointments Accurately entering/updating patient information in the system Assisting patients with completion of paperwork when necessary Scanning, updating, and filing medical records Answering phone calls, questions, etc. promptly and politely Processing medical insurance information, verifying patient eligibility, and addressing insurance questions (liaise with Billing department) Handling cash and co‐payments accurately and responsibly Providing outstanding customer service to every patient Informing the site manager or assistant site manager of waiting‐room wait times, patient inquiries, etc. Qualifications High School Degree or GED Happy, welcoming, can‐do attitude with patients and coworkers Experience in high‐volume/high‐intensity service industry (hospital, medical office, etc.) preferred Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Detail‐oriented and team player Computer proficiency and superior keyboarding skills (~55 wpm) Flexible/adaptable in a continuously evolving environment Passion for helping others in a healthcare environment Ability to interact effectively with physicians, patients, and staff Passion for helping others in a healthcare environment Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location Physical requirements: ability to sit and stand for periods of time; heavy computer use required Compensation Pay Rate: $18.25 per hour (compensation amount may vary based on experience and location).
