What is a part time med spa employee?

A part-time med spa employee is a professional who works at a medical spa, usually for fewer hours than a full-time staff member. Their duties can include assisting with skincare treatments, scheduling appointments, providing customer service, and supporting licensed practitioners like nurses or estheticians. Part-time employees may work evenings or weekends to accommodate client schedules, and they often help ensure smooth spa operations while maintaining a relaxing environment. Requirements for the position can vary, but a background in beauty, wellness, or healthcare is often preferred.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time med spa professional?

To thrive as a Part Time Med Spa professional, you need a background in aesthetics or nursing, knowledge of skin care treatments, and any relevant state licensure or certification. Familiarity with tools such as laser devices, skincare product lines, and scheduling or client management software is typically required. Outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills set top performers apart. These competencies ensure safe, high-quality treatments and create a positive client experience, which is vital for client retention and spa reputation.

What are the typical responsibilities and expectations for a part time med spa professional?

As a part-time med spa professional, you can expect to perform a variety of client-focused tasks such as conducting consultations, assisting with non-invasive procedures (like facials, chemical peels, or laser treatments), and providing pre- and post-treatment care instructions. You may also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, updating client records, and supporting full-time team members during busy periods. Flexibility is often required to accommodate evening or weekend shifts, and strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with both medical staff and clients.

Job description

Experienced Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Injector (APRN) — Concierge Aesthetics (1099) | Washington DC

Grow your aesthetics practice, with more flexibility, autonomy, and support under the Pinch brand. If you’re trained in aesthetics and want to earn extra income on a part-time schedule, this is the opportunity you’ve been looking for.

Pinch is hiring experienced Aesthetic Nurse Practitioners in Washington DC who are confident with injectables and want a better way to practice: above-market compensation, flexible scheduling, high-quality clients, strong clinical standards, and a real provider community, without the typical med-spa overhead and politics.

Pinch is a top-rated, Chicago-founded concierge aesthetics brand bringing treatments directly to clients in the comfort of their homes. As a Pinch Provider, you’ll operate with more freedom and autonomy while practicing within a trusted brand and clear protocols designed to keep you and your patients safe.

Why experienced injectors choose Pinch:
  • Earnings built for experienced injectors: Top-of-market, treatment-based pay with no overhead costs.
  • Flexibility on your terms: Set your schedule and availability
  • Autonomy with support: You own the patient experience while following Pinch clinical protocols and best practices.
  • Community & collaboration: Join a provider network; share tips, cases, and local opportunities (events, brand partnerships, etc.).
  • Continued education: Ongoing training and refreshers so your skills and confidence keep leveling up.
What you’ll do:
  • Deliver safe, high-quality concierge aesthetic care including:
    • Neurotoxin injections (tox)
    • Microneedling
    • Chemical peels
    • Skincare + at-home facial experiences
  • Treat clients sourced through Pinch marketing and your personal network
  • Maintain accurate documentation and timely client records
  • Manage supplies responsibly
  • Follow Pinch protocols and clinical standards
  • Collaborate with other Pinch Providers and the Pinch clinical/support team
  • Use the Pinch platform to retain clients, run outreach, and grow your book

Requirements

Who we’re looking for:

Required:

  • Active Washington DC APRN license
  • Injectables experience (neurotoxin injections) and comfort treating independently
  • Prior aesthetics experience in a clinical setting (med spa, derm, plastics, concierge, etc.)
  • Strong patient communication, professionalism, and commitment to safety

Preferred:

  • Existing client base or strong ability to build one through networking
  • Interest in growing through events, influencer partnerships, photoshoots, and local community activations
  • Availability to treat between 10 - 50 clients per month (a mix of your own network, and new clients Pinch sends you)

Benefits

Training & support

This role is designed for injectors who already have experience, so training is focused on Pinch protocols, quality standards, and expanding services (peels, microneedling, skincare).

  • Pinch provides onboarding, ongoing education, and clinical support
  • (If needed) Pinch can align you to required protocols and competency refreshers to ensure consistent outcomes
What Pinch covers: A turnkey way to practice on your own - everything from procurement and insurance, to a trusted brand and community!
  • Malpractice coverage
  • Marketing support
  • MD collaboration
  • Technology + scheduling tools
  • Operational support and supplies structure (no med-spa overhead eating your earnings)
  • A provider community that actually feels like a team
About Pinch:

Pinch is redefining med spa care by bringing treatments straight to clients’ homes. Founded in Chicago by a double board-certified physician and a seasoned entrepreneur, Pinch empowers Nurse Practitioners with the resources, standards, and flexibility to thrive without sacrificing autonomy.
