What is a part time med spa employee?

A part-time med spa employee is a professional who works at a medical spa, usually for fewer hours than a full-time staff member. Their duties can include assisting with skincare treatments, scheduling appointments, providing customer service, and supporting licensed practitioners like nurses or estheticians. Part-time employees may work evenings or weekends to accommodate client schedules, and they often help ensure smooth spa operations while maintaining a relaxing environment. Requirements for the position can vary, but a background in beauty, wellness, or healthcare is often preferred.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a part time med spa professional?

To thrive as a Part Time Med Spa professional, you need a background in aesthetics or nursing, knowledge of skin care treatments, and any relevant state licensure or certification. Familiarity with tools such as laser devices, skincare product lines, and scheduling or client management software is typically required. Outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills set top performers apart. These competencies ensure safe, high-quality treatments and create a positive client experience, which is vital for client retention and spa reputation.

What are the typical responsibilities and expectations for a part time med spa professional?

As a part-time med spa professional, you can expect to perform a variety of client-focused tasks such as conducting consultations, assisting with non-invasive procedures (like facials, chemical peels, or laser treatments), and providing pre- and post-treatment care instructions. You may also be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety standards, updating client records, and supporting full-time team members during busy periods. Flexibility is often required to accommodate evening or weekend shifts, and strong communication skills are essential for collaborating with both medical staff and clients.

Aesthetic Injector - Med Spa (NP or PA)

PLACEM!NT by TZ Consulting

Midlothian, VA โ€ข On-site

$55 - $65/hr

Full-time, Part-time

Posted 13 days ago

Job description

Practice
VIO Med Spa (Midlothian, VA)
Location
1058 Steam Ave, Midlothian, VA 23113
Schedule
Full-time role. It begins part-time while the center ramps up, then grows to full-time as patient volume builds.
Compensation
$55 to $65 per hour base, plus a production bonus on what you deliver
Employment
W2 (employed lead provider, not a contractor)

Be the founding injector at a brand-new VIO Med Spa opening in Midlothian.
This is an employed lead provider role where you run your own consultations and treatments, grow your own patient base, and help shape the aesthetic program from day one, backed by a national brand and an established medical director.

What You Will Do

  • Deliver neurotoxin and dermal filler treatments and lead the consultations that match each patient to the right plan. This is the core of the role.
  • Own the patient relationship from consult through follow-up, driving the rebooking and loyalty that grow the practice.
  • Within your scope, support the wellness side with hormone optimization and peptide therapy protocols.
  • Help set the clinical standards for a new location, practicing with day-to-day autonomy under established, offsite medical director oversight.

Requirements

What We Need

  • Active Virginia NP or PA license, unrestricted, or eligibility to obtain one before your start date.
  • At least one year of hands-on aesthetic injectables experience with neurotoxins and fillers.
  • Comfort in a production-based model where you own your consultations and grow your own patient base.
  • Comfort practicing within established, offsite medical director oversight and protocols, with a clear escalation path for clinical questions.
  • Full-time, on-site availability in Midlothian ahead of a December opening.

A strong advantage, not a requirement: hormone or peptide experience, an existing patient following, and comfort helping open a new location.

Benefits

Schedule and Compensation

This is a full-time role that opens part-time while the center ramps and grows to full-time as patient volume builds. Pay is a competitive $55 to $65 per hour base depending on experience, plus a production bonus on the treatments you personally perform, so your earnings grow as your book grows. You are not building alone: VIO's brand, membership model, and local marketing drive patient flow from opening. We are glad to walk through the full structure on our first call.

About the Opportunity

VIO Med Spa has been named the number one Med Spa Franchise in Entrepreneur Magazine's Franchise 500 for three consecutive years. This is a brand-new build at 1058 Steam Ave, Midlothian, VA 23113, led by an established multi-unit local operator moving into wellness. We are hiring ahead of the opening, so you get a committed owner, real growth ahead, and the rare chance to shape a practice from the ground up.
