What Does a Part-Time Mechanic Do?

Positions are available with consumer repair shops, trucking and industrial companies, and even government entities like school districts. You can also specialize in diesel engines or large equipment like tractors or eventually transition into part-time instructional positions at vocational schools and community colleges. In most positions, your responsibilities also include staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and related approaches to routine service, so many companies offer paid training and certification opportunities.
