Job description

JRAD is seeking candidates for an immediate fill position supporting DEVCOM CBC. You are the ideal candidate if you have experience developing new models and model architectures to support unique DOD CBRND requirements. A successful candidate will have experience developing and reviewing models, tracing requirements and be able to provide written and oral feedback to Government Clients. We are looking to you to devise MBSE tools and improve interoperability between existing tools and models. We are seeking a confident systems engineer, creative thinker, motivated problem solver, that wants to strengthen the safety and security of our country.


Roles/Responsibilities:

  • Utilize MBSE tools such as MagicDraw/Cameo to develop detailed models that integrate sub-system models across multiple domains.
  • Develop a centralized environment for Configuration Management and ensure Requirements traceability.
  • Apply knowledge of model-based languages such as UML and SysML.
  • Work on a cross-functional team to develop cutting edge software solutions for DoD mission critical programs of record.
  • Develop frameworks to connect system models, analytical tools and visualization environments across system life-cycle.
  • Perform system engineering activities: trade studies, functional analysis, requirement decomposition/allocation, interface definition and specifications.
  • Work within an Agile Project Management framework and DevSecOps culture.
  • Collaborate across stakeholders including customers, teammates and partners.


Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to work closely with software engineers to evolve the systems architecture
  • MBSE experience, applied engineering, solid overall engineering understanding, CM, solid/thorough understanding of version control. Use of MagicDraw, Cameo, Rational Rose, DOORS (Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System), Rhapsody, or Sparx Enterprise Architect or any of their extensions, or competing vendors' tools.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink preferred.
  • Ability to learn new technologies rapidly and implement in a dynamic environment
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
