SUMMARY: To assist sales/marketing management with communications media and advertising materials to effectively represent the company's product and services. Participate in activities needed to support new and promotional products to consumers and customer prospects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  • Will work on current marketing projects such as market analysis, research, sales promotions, advertising, public relations and market development.
  • Will work with a broad portfolio of beverage products sampling and introducing those products to consumers
  • Assignment may require travel to other company locations, customer's facilities, and use of company vehicle.
  • Demonstrate features and benefits of merchandise and products in order to educate the consumer and promote sales.
  • Obtain and maintain knowledge of the history of the company in order to communicate effectively with consumers.
  • Intern must file records and engage in customer database maintenance.
  • Intern must help with public relations, customer follow-up and other events
  • Intern will assist in the development and upkeep of social media sites.
  • Intern will demonstrate understanding of how actions and or work impact the company's relationship with consumers.
  • Other duties may be assigned or requested.

Requirements
COMPETENCIES: Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
  • Education and/or Experience: Marketing interns are students pursuing degree or diploma in business management, journalism, advertising or communications. Three to five years general work experience required. Ability to work with minimal supervision is required.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read. Ability to communicate effectively and respond to inquires.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions supplied both written and verbal.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and knowledge in Microsoft Office.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver's license - Class E, current vehicle liability insurance, and driving record within Company MVR policy guidelines.
Other Skills and Abilities: None.
Other Qualifications: Will drive personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
