We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide high-quality medical and psychiatric services within our behavioral health and substance use treatment programs. This position is ideal for a provider who is passionate about integrated care and enjoys working within a collaborative, multidisciplinary treatment environment.


Position Summary

The Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive medical and/or psychiatric evaluations, medication management, treatment planning, and ongoing patient care for individuals receiving treatment for substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role may include withdrawal management (detoxification) services, management of acute and chronic medical conditions, and collaboration with clinical and medical teams to support positive treatment outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive medical and/or psychiatric assessments and evaluations.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical presentation.

Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical and behavioral health conditions.

Manage medication-assisted treatment (MAT), psychiatric medications, and withdrawal management protocols as appropriate.

Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care.

Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, case managers, and other treatment team members to ensure coordinated care.

Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.

Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical case reviews.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment recommendations and recovery support services.

Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and organizational standards.

Requirements

Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher required.

Current Nurse Practitioner certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

Active state licensure in the applicable state of practice.

Current DEA registration required.

Professional liability (malpractice) coverage required for independent contractors.

Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred.

Experience in addiction medicine, detoxification, behavioral health, psychiatry, primary care, or related specialties preferred.

Knowledge of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and withdrawal management protocols is highly desirable.

Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and communication skills.

Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
